Digital Budgeting Programme Digital Budgeting Foundations
Most people know they should budget. The harder part is finding a method that actually fits how they live and spend.
This course starts with the basics of digital budgeting - what it means to connect your bank accounts to a budgeting app, how to categorise transactions without spending an hour on it each week, and how to read your own spending patterns without judgment. We use tools like YNAB and Revolut's built-in analytics as working examples throughout the course.
Budgeting digitally is not just about automation. It requires you to make a handful of deliberate decisions upfront - which categories matter to you, what your fixed costs actually are, and where your estimates tend to be wrong. Once those decisions are made, the tools do the heavy lifting.
Each module includes short exercises tied to real scenarios: a month with an unexpected car repair, a period of irregular freelance income, or a household splitting shared costs. These are not hypothetical - they reflect the situations where most budgets quietly fall apart.
The goal is not a perfect budget. The goal is a budget you actually return to.
Course principle
By the end of the course, you will have a working digital budget set up in a tool of your choice, a clear process for reviewing it monthly, and a realistic sense of what to adjust when life does not go to plan.
